The Venerables Chapel

While the men and women of the United States recognized by the Catholic Church as Venerables may have a long road to travel before they can be declared Saints, each has lived a life of heroic virtue recognized by the Pope. Accordingly, American Saints and Causes believes there is something good that can be learned from their stories, even if their causes do not advance. Here in the Main Chapel of the Venerables of the United States are the men and women of the United States that are two miracles away from being recognized as Saints by the Catholic Church. Already, their numbers nearly double the total Saints of the United States, suggesting the potential for many more from the United States to be raised to the glory of the altars in the future. Below you can access pages on each Venerable to learn about their unique witness to Christ and find prayers to seek their intercession. Maybe the prayer of a visitor to American Saints and Causes will be the basis for the miracle leading to their beatification!
